Growers & Eaters Potluck Mixer!
Come Shape the Future of Local Food on Mayne Island!
We’ve RESCHEDULED — and we really hope you’ll join us.
The Mayne Island Growers & Eaters Potluck Mixer is happening:
Tuesday, November 25th, 5–8 PM at the Ag Hall!
This evening is especially for eaters — the folks who care about fresh, healthy, local food and want to see more of it available right here on the island.
Why come?
Because what you eat — and what you want to eat — genuinely shapes what local farmers grow.
Your input helps determine:
What’s happening:
🥗 A cozy community potluck
Bring a favourite dish — simple is perfect. Come enjoy what your neighbours create.
📊 A first look at our Growers & Eaters survey results
See what your fellow islanders are craving, asking for, and dreaming about.
🗣 A friendly, grounded conversation
What would make eating local easier or more exciting for you next year?
What produce do you wish you could get more of?
Your thoughts directly influence what farmers plant this winter and spring.
🌱 You don’t have to be a grower. You don’t have to volunteer. You don’t have to “know” anything.
If you eat food — especially local food — your voice matters.
This is a warm, welcoming space to simply show up, share a meal, and be part of something that feeds the whole island.
📩 Please RSVP so we can plan for space and seating. Email Susheela: [email protected]
Let’s gather, celebrate what we’ve started, and dream up a food system that nourishes all of us.
Your presence truly makes a difference.
Let’s celebrate what we’ve built — and plant the seeds for what’s next!
